TIM program recognized for advancing entrepreneurship at Ontario Startup Canada Awards
Carleton’s Technology Innovation Management (TIM) master’s program was named runner-up for the Entrepreneurial Effect Award by Startup Canada.
The Entrepreneurial Effect Award recognizes “the individual, group, community, network or organization that has developed and produced a program, tool, research project or event that has had the greatest impact in advancing entrepreneurship in Canada.”
“We are very pleased to learn that Startup Canada has recognized the TIM program’s contribution to entrepreneurship,” stated Dr. Tony Bailetti, director of Carleton’s Technology Innovation Management program. “The TIM program benefits greatly from Ottawa’s strong entrepreneurial culture, the vision of the university’s senior administrators, and the talent of our colleagues in all our faculties, particularly the Faculty of Engineering and Design and the Sprott School of Business.”
Ottawa had a great showing at the Ontario Startup Canada Awards, demonstrating the entrepreneurial success of the region. Invest Ottawa was the runner-up for Incubator/Accelerator of the Year and Shopify was named runner-up for Anchor Company of the Year.
