Student Blogs/Erin in Mexico
It’s hard to believe that my time in Mexico is already over. I have completed my year abroad and safely returned back home. I have been back in Canada for a week now. I'm seeing my hometown with a whole new perspective and a newfound appreciation for the place I grew up in. Everything is greener, open and unfortunately, unseasonably cold. I found it amusing that so many of my friends from Guadalajara Facebook statuses were about how it was raining there! The people from that area are very lucky to basically enjoy eight months of sunny, warm weather.
I realize that I’ve written about things like the culture, the language and traveling in Mexico, but haven’t yet discussed the time I spent at school. Here is a list of the courses I took throughout the year at Tec and several recommendations:
While I did take some great courses at Tec, the best thing about going to this school was meeting people from all over the world. I had class with students from many countries in Europe, as well as Australia, the U.S., different parts of Canada and of course, Mexico. Working on group projects with people from all different backgrounds was definitely the most valuable thing I have done for my International Business degree. Congratulations to all of my fellow classmates on finishing their semester. It was nice to meet you all, hopefully I will see you again sometime soon!
