Good morning because lately I can’t sleep a wink, whether it’s because of fear or excitement for my long awaited trip to Chile! My whole university experience has lead up to this moment and now that it’s here….well, I’m not sure what to do!
So, many people ask, what the heck have you been doing for a month with no school and waiting for your exchange? To be honest, I’ve been doing all the things I love! I’ve spent time with family and good friends and it’s made me grateful for all the wonderful things I have here. It also means I truly got to live and breathe JDCC, a prestigious business case competition that was hosted in Halifax by Dalhousie University. Not to mention, I’ve actually gone skating on the Rideau Canal and on a trip to Toronto to see one of my best friends! As every student knows, free time is hard to come by during school, so I've appreciated every moment I have.
This weekend, I got the chance to say goodbye to some of the amazing friends I’ve made at the Sprott School of Business and it really made me feel special to receive their support! Knowing that there is such a strong support system from both faculty, staff and students makes all the difference. Thank you all!
I’m definitely going through a little bit of #FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). Sprott has become my family and such an important part of my life that it will be strange to be away from it, but as a girl who has always had her heart set on travel, I know that simply means I will just have to bring my Sprott spirit with me!
With only a few days left to go, I’m trying to be open-minded and not set too many expectations. Today is just the beginning and anything can happen. Chile, I’m ready for you! But are you ready for me?
