Professor Francois Brouard recognized for teaching by the Chartered Accountants of Quebec
The Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec has presented Sprott Professor François Brouard with its Recognition Award in Teaching.
This award is given to deserving chartered accountants in acknowledgement of their ongoing leadership, dynamism, volunteer work and excellence.
“The recipients of the Ordre awards are exceptional individuals who enhance the reputation of the CA profession and raise the bar for success year after year,” said Alain Côté, FCA, Chair of the Ordre
Prof. Brouard is currently an associate professor at Carleton University’s Sprott School Business and also the founding director of the Sprott Centre on Social Enterprises (SCSE). He has been a chartered accountant since 1984, when he began his career with Deloitte in auditing and taxation. His first venture into the world of teaching was as a lecturer in taxation, which inspired him to pursue a Master’s degree in accounting and then to complete a doctorate, with honours, in information strategies and systems. He went on to teach in all of Quebec’s French-speaking universities, confirming his expertise and giving visibility to the profession throughout the province.
