The Labour Force Barriers Research Group brings together leading researchers and students from four faculties across Carleton (Sprott School of Business, Faculty of Public Affairs, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences) to provide leadership in research addressing labour force barriers.
This research group will focus on building knowledge regarding youth, immigration, migration, diversity, health and wellness, employment conditions, social policy and initiatives with the goal of contributing to strengthening Canada’s labour force and labour economy.
The Labour Force Barriers Research Group is one of 10 groups of interdisciplinary researchers that received support from the Carleton University Multidisciplinary Research Catalyst Fund (MRCF). The MRCF supports interdisciplinary research initiatives that will lead to external grant applications, high levels of research activity, and a demonstrable increase in research impacts that go beyond individual researchers.
