Introduce yourself! Tell us a little bit about your goals and interests:
I am a third-year student of the Bachelor of International Business (BiB) Program and in the Spanish language stream. I have a passion for everything basketball, playing video games, surfing the internet, and enjoy walking off the beaten path.
Why did you choose your language?
I chose the Spanish language due to my love of traveling in the Caribbean, as well as my prior knowledge of French which could help me to learn Spanish.
Have you ever travelled overseas before? If so, where?
Yes, I was born into a British military family which traveled around Germany, England and Cyprus until my family moved to Canada when I was 8 years old. My family and I made regular trips to various countries, where my love for travel and discovering different customs and cultures were born.
What 3 things MUST you take with you while abroad?
3 Items that I must bring while I am abroad would have to be my iPad, Spanish to English dictionary, and sunglasses.
What are you most looking forward to?
I am most looking forward to meeting new people, expanding my Spanish vocabulary and understanding, breaking out of my comfort zone by exploring and enjoying new cultures across Europe.
