Robert Helal is an award-winning adjunct research professor with the Sprott School of Business, Carleton University. His teaching is focused on the areas of business strategy, marketing strategy, and innovation management at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With over 20 years of international leadership experience in the information technology sector, Dr. Helal brings expertise in the areas of business analytic solutions, product and portfolio management, new product introduction, and collaborative innovation. Over this time, he has specialized in early-stage products and bringing new-to-the-world offerings to market. He is currently the Head of Collaborative Innovation and Ecosystem, Analytics with IBM\u2019s Data and AI products division, and is leading the integration of expert knowledge into the new product introduction process. Dr. Helal holds a Bachelor of Science degree (McGill University), an MBA (University of Ottawa, Telfer School of Business), and a Ph.D. in Management (Carleton University, Sprott School of Business) with research interests in the areas of open innovation, new product collaboration, and new product success and adoption.
