The Sprott School of Business and Co-operative Education and Career Services at Carleton University, in partnership with the READ Initiative (Research, Education, Accessibility and Design) and ACT to Employ, are hosting an Inclusive Workplace Forum that will be more than a discussion on employment but an opportunity to engage with our diverse student body.
The main objective of this event is to bring together students from underrepresented groups to hear directly from employers on how they are creating a culture of inclusion in their workplaces. This will also be a forum to share best practices and allow students to share their lived experiences and ambitions.

Campus Recruitment Program Lead at EDCTara started as an HR Generalist in the technology sector in Ottawa after finishing an HR Management post-graduate program at Algonquin College. Over the last 4 years she has made the move to specialize in Talent Acquisition with a focus on Student and New Grad programs.

Partner BDODuring his time at BDO, Max has identified accessibility issues for corporations, governments, and non-governmental agencies, in addition to providing strategic solutions to address them. He is a bilingual policy leader who has worked in public service for 20 years.
HR Advisor from Public Service Commission of CanadaAlong with his colleagues, Michel promotes the various student and graduate employment programs within the federal public service to colleges and universities in the National Capital and Eastern Ontario Region.

Counsellor for ACT to Employ at CarletonJenna completed an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies, Philosophy and Psychology, and a Master of Social Work at Carleton University. She is currently completing a Master of Counselling and Spirituality from Saint Paul University.

Assistant Director Research and Development at the READ InitiativeTara is a transitions specialist who has some 20 years of experience working with and learning from adults and youth on the Autism spectrum. Her work has focused on facilitating neurodiverse thinkers to thrive on their own terms through co-creating meaningful transitions into and throughout adulthood, including employment.
M.P. for Kanata, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Women and Gender Equality and YouthJenna has worked as an economist, a municipal councilor, and a community advocate. From 2018 to 2021, she served on the Ottawa City Council for Kanata-North. Before entering politics, she was the Executive Director of the CIO Strategy Council, a national technology forum, and the President and Executive Director of the Kanata North Business Association. She also worked as a senior economist for the Government of Canada for over 10 years.
