BUSI 3117: Developing Creative Thinking

This course focuses on a project where interdisciplinary teams composed of civil engineering, systems engineering, and business students will be working together on proposals to address the problem of sustainable water harvesting in northern Tanzania.

The course will involve a two-week trip to the Longido Region of Tanzania during the last week of December and first week of January. There will be some cost involved. Students should plan on up to $2,000 related to travel costs, but the actual amount will depend on the success of fundraising activities. Teams will be provided with a budget to cover other costs related to the project.

Registration for this course is for Winter term, but given the nature of the project there will be required preparatory activities during Fall term. These activities may include problem research, possible fundraising activities, and cultural sensitivity workshops. You must commit to participating in these activities in order to register.

For more information, please consult Sprott off the Press.
